While some in NZ over this Matariki weekend have been “worshipping” the stars (and Hindu, with Modi in town), our opening item at our annual Global Impact conference declares there is only one who is worthy - that is Jesus Christ, with thousands in worship of Him!
As Bob Dylan said, “everybody serves somebody”! Remember my friend, whether you believe it now or not, one day as the Bible says “every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord”!

This is what I am trying to explain - A new year celebration is one thing, an offerings to stars / gods is another!
The Bible truly speaks against the worship of stars, sun, moon, and creation with the warning of the danger of it! No Christian should partake in these Matariki celebration of worship / offering to these star “gods“! I recall a clip I put up at the first government Matariki celebration which had Jacinda and other politicians participating as they offered “meat sacrifices” to these stars.
In this this clip, they are offering up Kumura on an altar to these so called gods, believing for these “stars" to bless them!
Sadly, many today think that the colonists brought their “white man's God”! Firstly, Jesus was born in the Middle East having olive / brown skin, but the colour of his skin is irrelevant as He died for all men! He was the supreme, the final sacrifice for all our sin! He shed his blood for all men of all races that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life! So even the colour of your skin is not the issue for, as I have said, we all bleed red, it is who you worship - stars in the sky, money, yourself etc or do you worship the one and only true God - the creator of all things!
Anything else actually invokes the wrong spirit and does not bring blessings but in fact curses! The folly of worshiping creation is throughout the Bible, read Isaiah 44:9-20!
Here is just one passage that shows that - Isaiah 44:14-17:
"Surely he cuts cedars for himself, and takes a cypress or an oak and raises it for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a fir, and the rain makes it grow. Then it becomes something for a man to burn, so he takes one of them and warms himself; he also makes a fire to bake bread. He also makes a god and worships it; he makes it a graven image and falls down before it. Half of it he burns in the fire; over this half he eats meat as he roasts a roast and is satisfied. He also warms himself and says, “Aha! I am warm, I have seen the fire.” But the rest of it he makes into a god, his graven image. He falls down before it and worships; he also prays to it and says, “Deliver me, for you are my god.”

For most Kiwis, Matariki (the Maori New Year) toda

For most Kiwis, Matariki (the Maori New Year) today, is just another public holiday! On the other extreme, it is the spiritual worship of a cluster of stars seen as “gods”! Matariki, the Maori name for the Pleiades cluster of nine distinct stars!
Radio NZ, being as liberal and left as it is (although taxpayer funded) is promoting it as a time of great national importance in relation to its “spiritual significance in health and well being of NZ."
Here, Michael Laws describes it, and how one guest on Radio NZ describes all the problems that we currently have here in NZ are due to those “colonizers”.
I could say “tongue in cheek” shame on “white people” bringing all the comforts and advancement (I notice Te Pati Maori in the Koru lounge 😜)!
In fact, the truth is none of us would be here today if the early settlers hadn’t come! So let’s at least be grateful for what we have, certainly not perfect!
It is sad today that many have turned away from Christ, which is what really has caused and is causing the problems we have today!
But praise the Lord, there are many from all races who still hold and embrace Christianity, and the beautiful thing is Christ breaks down the dividing wall so that we are all one in Christ!
Whenever one brings up a subject like this, ignorant people cry racist! Or anyone who believes in one people, one nation gets decried as racist! Hey, we all bleed red, and one day we all, irrespective of race, will have to stand before our Maker! The Lord God Almighty!
For those who know me, I have a deep love and respect for our Maori brethren, in fact all races, as can be seen in our church!
So, having a holiday on the boss and ignoring the celebration of a New Year is one thing, but embracing the spiritual realm outside of the one true God is another!
For as the Bible says “they worship the creation rather than the creator”!
I think there is middle ground in respecting culture, (and loving people) without either ignoring or being caught up in wrong spiritual practices and beliefs! My sincere genuine prayer is that all Maori people turn to Christ, Jesus Christ in whom is the Way, the Truth and the Life!

Have a listen to our PM stating some things that even my dear Indian friends do not agree with!
NZ and India do not share the same values as Chris Luxon states! From Hinduism, to child brides to the persecution of Christians, these are not our values and I’m appalled that our PM would talk about our shared values!
In northern India, they are burning churches, raping and killing Christians - this has been well publicized! Modi has the goal to have India a complete Hindu nation, outlawing any conversion to Christianity etc!
Luxon says here that when you visit India, you are inspired, many I know who visit are appalled by the poverty, the caste system (one of the more racist systems in the world). Before you call me racist, we have over 60 churches in India that reach out to the poor and the lepers etc. We have built and established three medical clinics there helping the vulnerable and have three orphanages!
We have many wonderful Indian Christians in our church here in NZ who are building better lives here than sadly what they could in their home!
But let’s be honest, we do have a major problem when our PM bows to foreign gods and participates in false offerings!
I wonder if he will take Modi to church this weekend while in NZ. Guess they won’t go to Destiny Church 😱😜, but they would be welcome at City Impact Church and hear about the Christian culture and values that have built NZ and brought the blessings and the freedom that we have here (and I have to add, as it is true, our culture and values that are sadly being eroded).

Our PM warns “that NZ does not want to see increasing militarization in a proudly nuclear free region!”
I’m sure China, who has appalling human rights, organ harvesting etc is going to listen and even care what the PM says!
China, being one of our largest trading partners $$$ the PM won’t want to upset them too much!
But I don’t think that they would give a rip about our nuclear free outdated policy.
We may soon be calling on nuclear powered USA to come to our aid - but then again - will they after being rejected for years! The world unfortunately has become a very unsafe place! Let’s hope and pray that it does not include NZ! Come Lord Jesus come!

4th July special to us too as we planted our church here in NZ 44 years ago on the 4th July!
PS - love @blackriflecoffee as well, and it is a tradition / compulsory stop every time we visit our grandkids (all adults now) in Texas!
They love the coffee and the cinnamon buns 😀

Huge congratulations to the USA on 250 years!
A great nation was born all that time ago!
Here is a truthful thought for all today who think that the church should not be involved in politics - Jefferson, who wrote that letter, intended to keep the Government out of the church (out of the morals of a nation) not the Church out of politics! Oh how the devil twists things!

44 years ago this past weekend - 4th July 1982, a

44 years ago this past weekend - 4th July 1982, a much younger version of myself, along with my wife and two sons, planted a church (with an ad in the local paper) in a little hall in Browns Bay, Auckland - New Zealand!
(known then as Bays Christian Fellowship)
40 people showed up that first Sunday - some who amazingly are still with us today!
My very first message was based on the scripture “Unless the Lord build the House we labour in vain.”
Over the past 44 years, God has been so faithful, as the scripture says, that we may plant and water, but it is “God who causes the growth!
Today, boasting in the Lord, with multi-locations throughout NZ and around 100 overseas, with thousands of people calling City Impact Church their home!
Having seen literally tens of thousands of people saved, touched by God, all I can say is ”to God be the Glory."
We are so so grateful, 1st to the Lord, and 2nd to all the incredible wonderful people who have been part of the journey!
We are so blessed with incredible facilities, Sanctuaries, School, Childcares, with over 130 staff, but we always are aware that the church is about God and people! With over 60 medical clinics in third world nations, orphanages, and other mission work, we have a Global vision, hence our conference this very week (our 28th) Global Impact !
So while we praise God for every good and proper thing, we look forward to the future, knowing that God will take us from strength to strength! He has “good things in store for those who love Him."
We thank God sincerely for Ps Joe and Racquel - (the young version of ourselves - lol - but better looking - 😜) who have stepped up and into the role as Lead Pastors!

Great to see great players putting their faith on

Great to see great players putting their faith on the line! Especially in these days, we need every Christian to be “bold and unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for it it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone”!
For those who think Christians should not show their faith publicly, the same people would probably support the display of the “Pride Match” played between Egypt and Iran in protest against those countries laws against homosexuality etc!
Nothing really to be “proud” of here, as obviously countries are free to make their own laws, both good and bad! Look at the mess the West is in right now due to compromise!

Sadly, you don’t see these stories in mainstream media, more Christians (27) butchered in an attack! It is happening in many countries and while in western nations, Christians may not be being killed, they are definitely being marginalized and silenced!
At least President Trump is aware of it and hopefully is doing something about it, I wish our PM and government would wake up!

How things slide - Charles, the King of England, the so-called head of the Church of England - The Defender of the Faith (singular), has now declared that he is the defender of multi-faiths! England, once a Christian nation who “ruled the world," and out of it came great men of God, the likes of the Wesley brothers and George Whitfield etc.
While we want freedom of religion, we see Christianity being diminished and Muslim, Hindu, Sikh etc rising! This is due to the atheistic, secular mindset of the West! Through the blessing that Christianity brought, freedom, prosperity etc, complacency and apathy has lulled us to sleep! The blessing has become the curse!
So, while the “West” has been sleeping these past 50 years or so, others have come in (and still coming) and are taking over - by the time we wake up, they will have taken over!
It will unfortunately probably take the majority to be in bondage, their freedoms stripped before they really wake up!
Queen Elizabeth would be “turning in her grave” at the action of her son!

Over one million views (on Facebook alone), with thousands of comments, 99% overwhelming positive and supporting, this shows the genuine interest and concern that the public have with some of the immigration that is taking place in our country!
Those coming here, who have an alternative agenda rather than to blend in, assimilate and become part of and support the culture / values of the country that they are coming to.
They bring their way of life, their values, laws, religion etc which, left to grow, will cause massive problems in days to come. The public are now waking up to that, and are becoming aware of the massive problems that it has brought to countries in Europe / UK etc.
As mentioned, try going to their countries and do the same!
So regardless of what our politicians say, there is a genuine concern in the public and the politicians should be listening instead of defending the “diversity“ as a good thing!
This is not about racism, as the critics would cry, this is about preserving our Kiwi way of life, freedom etc!

What is happening in Australia, Canada, UK is happening here!

It is about our future, your children’s and grandchildren's future! You might say “it can’t happen here” - I say, “famous last words”!
“While good men slept, the enemy came and sowed bad seed in our field” - words of Jesus!
So hopefully we can stop “mass immigration,“ even naturally our country is not coping, (hospitals, schools, housing, roading, sewage, infrastructure!) But all immigrants should and need to adhere to the Kiwi culture and values, or else this warning will come to pass!

Here at City Impact Church, on the North Shore, we cook over 400 meals each week to go to needy families in the community along with dozens of food / grocery bags going out weekly for other ones in need!
Sad that people are struggling today - ought not to be that way!
While government parties bicker and name call, people are going hungry! It surely cannot be that difficult to get a country like NZ to prosper! We have huge natural resources, incredible farming etc etc, need to stop “mass” immigration, get young people working! If only the government and parties would work together instead of fighting like children and just push their own little agendas!
In the meantime - just doing our bit - faith and works!

A couple weeks back, some pastor friends of mine in Albania called me for prayer for their nation! Massive riots were taking place! It is over what the public see as corruption, for many reasons. Among the reasons, their PM allowing a huge development on a sanctuary island (protected wetland area) by - guess who! Jared Kushner and Ivanka (Trump) were on and guess who’s boat - the Rothschild’s! (The Rothschild family along with the Rockefeller family etc own and want control the world)! The Albanian PM was on the boat as well, and listen to Ivanka telling the story, they just dove off the boat, swam and discovered the island running barefoot to the top! Wow - now there’s a movie! The old saying, it’s not what you know, but who you know!!!! The PM says that as long as he is in power, this development will happen. But there is always more to these things than meets the eye or what is reported in the news!
Sadly, most governments around the world today are in some way corrupted! As power corrupts and absolute power absolutely corrupts! Greed and power are two of the 3 G's they talk about that men corrupt themselves over: Gold, Glory and Girls!
During the last week of May, LGBT activists, together with 28 organizations supported by Soros-affiliated networks, filed legal complaints against these Pastors! Can I ask Christians to pray for Albania and the church there! It is interesting that many countries are in uproar today, and it is over similar things! I have good Pastor friends in many of these countries, and the Middle East, Ukraine and Russia and it is truly sad what is happening! I for one am concerned for the nations of the world, not just the ones in the news, i.e. Nigeria, Haiti, Sudan, and many others that have massive civil unrest right now! People are dying, Christians are being persecuted, children are suffering! All because man has turned his back on God, rejecting Christ! There is definitely a battle going on between good and evil!

While I love my Rugby League, I’m appalled that the NRL (Wayne Pearce according to Maria Folau) would continue to block one of the games greatest players, Israel Folau, from returning! And it is all over quoting a Bible verse 10 years ago! Who could forget that fiasco!
While the NRL continues to allow woman beaters, drug-charged players etc to play!
Double standard for sure!
They quote they want to be inclusive and diverse but not it seems when it comes to outspoken Christians!
It is interesting that a huge percentage of players
(particularly of the Pacific Islanders) would be Christian, yet only two players in all its history have come out as gay!
Maybe the Christians should boycott the game for their fellow Christian instead of allowing the tail (the minority) to wag the dog!
Something is very wrong!

I’ve said it before, politicians come and go, yet they strut about on the world stage (look at them at the G7 etc) thinking they are more important than thou!
They so often forget that they were elected by the people, for the people!
As when they get into power, all too often they just serve their own agenda!
Look at the Greens today, they're not so much about the environment but about taxing the rich - outright socialism - and who, on a benefit, doesn’t want a further hand out! And then many washed up politicians hang around like a bad smell either in some “cushy” job, or they continue to offer their advice like Helen C, and Jacinda A are doing today! Who cares, they had their day of messing up the country! Politics is a pretty dirty affair for sure as we see around the world today!

This war has become a complete an embarrassment for sure!
According to Rubio, Trump followed Bibi’s call to go in after saying they took out all the nukes in January - why - well obviously they didn’t, one of the many “misinformation “we were told!
Maybe Trump thought it would be as easy as taking Venezuela, but again obviously not!
After saying they decimated Iran's navy and air force, Iran continued to shoot down US helicopters and maintain control of the Strait!
The unconditional surrender, the disarming of missiles (let alone nukes), complete regime change - that Trump called for, did not happen at all!
Iran, like many countries, seems divided to those who support the harsh regime and those who are opposed and want freedom!
But the rising up of the people, that again we were told would happen, did not take place!
Instead, it seems now that Iran gets to toll the Strait, get given billions of dollars, keep their missiles - and so on, does not sound like a defeat to me!
It is sad as it shows America may not be the super power it thought it was!
Most Americans did not want this war, like most countries today, it has enough of its own problems to solve!
I just hope that Israel stops bombing Lebanon and Hezbollah also stops attacking Israel!
What a mess the world is in, all while we have the seemingly now forgotten Gaza Strip which looks completely decimated, with thousands displaced! And the Russians and Ukrainians keep pounding each other!

I find it quite interesting what people say at times!
Here is a boat being sunk down Hawkes Bay way, hopefully to attract fish etc, for divers - which is awesome!
But take a listen - “Rest in Peace.“
Rest in peace to a hunk of steel - the reality is “Rust in Peace“
Just saying - this sunken vessel is not a living being, but I guess each to his own.
Today, a Karakia (Maori prayer) has become very PC and acceptable here in NZ, at every event both large and small!
While sadly a prayer in the name of Jesus Christ is not, yet unless one is praying to the one true God, (the creator of Heaven and Earth - the God of the Bible) and praying in the name of Jesus - one has to ask themselves who are they praying to???
I do believe that faith in Christ and Him alone is best, as He is the only one that came back from the grave! He alone can forgive the sins of all men, and He alone has the keys to eternal life!

Through City Impact Church, we have a feeding program in two leprosy colonies in India, funding and reaching out to those in need around the world, in a number of countries. We have been doing this for decades now.
Also clothing widows, the hurting and the vulnerable.
We have around 60 church locations in India that are all doing a wonderful job in feeding the poor, helping the sick through prayer and through our two medical clinics in India that I mentioned last week.
We also have two City Impact Church children homes (orphanages) housing around 200 children, the lost street kids in this needy country. All sponsored from here in NZ through our City Impact Church child sponsorship program, Village Impact. (next week also over 300 kids in Tanzania)

The UK, Canada, Europe, Australia and NZ are all going down this path!

According to Tulsi Gabbard (and she should know), the USA has around 120 bio labs throughout the world (in over 30 countries), with many labs in the Ukraine!
Bio labs, contrary to Anthony Fauci, many have conducted “gain of function“ research! The very thing that started the whole Covid pandemic! What a complete fiasco that was! And what if one of these other bio labs release or get bombed releasing whatever is inside! These people need to held accountable! We have been lied to, as these labs have been covered up and the “powers to be” have denied their existence! Thank you Tulsi for bringing this to light!

While I have said, it is a very sad state of affairs for a government to have to legislate what and who is a woman. But unfortunately this needs to happen, to protect woman, because of “deceived minded” people like this!
All I can say, how sad that this so called “church” makes international news - a church, really!!! Heretical is the word best to describe this, because they are obviously not biblical! The vicar's statement about Jesus welcoming everyone to the table is true, but he neglects to point out that Jesus also instructed people to turn / repent of sin! Even Jesus said, “did you not know that in the beginning God created male and female”!
For millennia, mankind has known the difference between a man and a woman, yet today, in so called our enlightened educational age, we somehow know better - making up a new definition of a woman. Bottom line all to accommodate sin!

I’ll be honest, we get this hundreds of times, wherever we go, but I don’t normally video these moments - but this is such a nice group of people who come from a great church whose pastors are friends of mine (blessings Brent and Viv - you have some lovely people).
Amongst the few “haters,” it's great to have people who appreciate what I post!
Here to hopefully be a blessing to many!

When I was in Tel Aviv a while back, I was grieved

When I was in Tel Aviv a while back, I was grieved that they wanted to make Tel Aviv the “gay capital of the world”! Pretty ironic in the land where God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, that today in complete defiance they wanted to make the capital of Israel the “gay capital of the world”!
But we also see that some are saying bombing Iran (who are totally against this behavior) is a great way to celebrate pride month!
A very sad world for some as people in Lebanon/Gaza/Iran/Israel/Ukraine continue to come under a barrage of fire even though Trump is apparently calling for peace!
But let’s be honest, killing people is no way to celebrate anything, and atrocities done on all sides is horrendous and only shows you the depravity of man when they turn their back on a loving God!
Just watch and wait for the 7 year peace deal to be signed that the book of Daniel prophesied about, (Daniel 9 v 27) which marks the beginning of the 7 year Great Tribulation! If you read the book of Revelation, it makes Sodom and Gomorrah look like a “picnic” in comparison! 666 and all that!
And don’t blame me, I did not write the book, nor do I make the rules! I am just here to tell you, to warn you that unless one repents of all sin, and accepts the free gift of God, the Lord Jesus (who gave his life for you) then you will not escape the “hell fire and brimstone“ judgement that’s coming!
Some will accuse me of “scare mongering“! If I could scare you into heaven I would, but I am not endeavouring to be a scare monger, but speak the truth in love today.
But I hope and pray that I am bold enough, and love you enough, and are concerned for you enough, to tell you the truth and warn you of what is coming!
Not in a judgmental way or a “holier than thou" way, but as a fellow human being who too was once a “chief of sinners”, who although was “blind but now I see”, was once “lost but now am found”!
If you read the words of Jesus, it wasn’t all about “turn the other cheek etc,” he too spoke very clearly of the judgement coming and did His best to warn people - calling them to repentance (that is to turn from sin and turn to God through Him)
So while there is still time, today is the day of salvation!

We (City Impact Church) over the years have built/funded over 56 medical clinics in hard-to-reach villages; 35 in China and Myanmar, 3 in India, and 18 in Nepal.
Building the facility, stocking it with medical supplies, and working through the local people to minister to the needs of tens of thousands of people who would not normally be able to access medical supplies.
This is just part of the international work we do, all here from NZ.
