Don’t you find this ridiculous (and blasphemous) from Ben Shapiro?

Claiming Jesus was trying to overthrow the Romans in Israel, and that is the reason they crucified Him! Nothing could be further from the truth!

It is abundantly clear that it was the jealousy, resentment, and religiousness of the Jewish Pharisees/religious leaders who persuaded the Romans to kill Him. They could not understand this miracle worker who brought the Kingdom of God to earth — righteousness, peace, joy, grace, mercy, and love!

Not only is the Bible a spiritual book (being the Word of God), it is also the most accurate history book of all time! Other historian writers of the time, like Josephus, verify the biblical account of Jesus Christ’s life and death!

Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world,” saying if He wanted to fight, “He could call on a legion of angels”! He said, “No man has the power to take my life from me. I have the power to lay it down and the power to take it up again,” saying how “He came to give His life as a ransom for many”!

He never once tried to overthrow the Romans. In fact, He told His disciples to put away the sword, for “he who lives by the sword will die by the sword”!

His only act of “violence” was to overturn the tables in the Jewish temple, as they had turned God’s house into a marketplace rather than being a house of prayer!

So here is Ben Shapiro, who is Jewish, telling lies, making false accusations, just as the Jewish leaders at the time of Christ did. They are blinded to the truth! He should know better, and I pray that his and others’ eyes are opened to Jesus the Messiah (in fact, many are today).

And the full truth is that we all put Jesus Christ on the cross — our sin that He took upon Himself is what He died for, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life!

As PM, Helen Clark socially engineered this country into ruination, undermining and disregarding our good moral foundation, declaring NZ no longer a Christian nation but now a secular nation!

Check out the fruit of that on the front page of the newspaper every morning!

I do pray that she and others like her repent before they leave the planet, as we all have to stand before our Maker, giving an account of our lives! There are some shoes I would not want to be in!

So while I hope for the best for Helen and all people, as we are all loved by God, as the Bible says, “He is not willing that any should perish but all come to the knowledge of the truth,” unfortunately many do not want to receive Him, and their actions and words portray that!

So Helen, enjoy your lifelong income (you and Jacinda) that we continuously pay for, but please consider the damage you have done to this once beautiful country!

Where have you heard that before? (COVID, remember?) Same old playbook!

Electrification — yeah right — with coal-fired power stations producing most of our electricity! These “greenies” want to turn good, productive farmland into solar panel farms — solar panels that leach into the ground, making it unusable for decades!

Or what about those unsightly huge wind farms that break down, kill birds, and, just like the solar panels, are unrecyclable?

Car batteries that are also unrecyclable and more expensive than the car to replace — and catch fire while charging? Forget that!

What about all the energy/oil we have under our feet? We just need to “drill, baby, drill” and be self-sufficient rather than relying on imports! Reopen Marsden Point — the whole thing is a sham, a global agenda, as we have done what Canada, England, etc., have done — become totally reliant on energy imports!

So they say, “Don’t let a good crisis go to waste” — yeah right!

We had better change direction, and change now!

PS: The Green Party has just become a pack of socialist/communist misfits, more interested in other issues (like taxing the rich to help all those too lazy to work, etc.) rather than looking after the planet!

Maybe great for some of our exporters (as for them it is all about the almighty $$$$).

India says it’s great for them — why?

So they get our produce, so what do we get? According to the PM, more mass immigration, and as it was said, it is yoga teachers, spiritual healers (witch doctors), spiritual counsellors, and elderly family members, etc.

So how are we better off when not only our infrastructure is not coping now with the numbers, but more so with the cultural/spiritual shift in the wrong direction? I don’t believe we will be better off — far from it!

But too late now 🙏🙏🙏 Again, the almighty $ rules against common and moral sense!

Exactly what I said yesterday — hypocrisy at its best! Here is a bunch of TVNZ people discussing Israel Folau (for his so-called homophobic comments a couple of years back), saying how he should be fired and that he crossed an employment line, etc.!

The big question today is:
Where are these people/reporters now concerning their colleague Maiki Sherman, who reportedly made “homophobic remarks”?

Where are the voices that “crucified” Israel F?
Like Jacinda Ardern, Louisa Wall, Matthew McClean, TJ Perenara, John Campbell, Anika Moa, Hilary Barry, Marama Davidson, and all the others — silence! Total double standard!

Maiki needs to go!

Remember, Israel F just quoted a verse in the Bible that every true Bible-believing church holds — that if sinners (listing many sinful activities, as in the Bible) do not repent and turn to Jesus, they don’t get in “upstairs”! They end up in that other “hot and steamy place”. He did not attack homosexuals personally with a slur!

So why the huge attack on Israel F and the silence on Maiki? Is it because Israel F is a Christian — just asking!

Of course, this same reporter Maiki is the one who is in everyone’s face demanding they answer her questions. Apparently, recently she entered a restricted area in Parliament, banging on MP Stuart Smith’s door for 10 minutes, demanding that he engage with her!

Endeavouring not to be or sound in any way discriminating, but how do you feel about answering these new two questions next time you donate blood? I personally would find them offensive, and it is sad that society has come to this morally!
I would ask for no hateful or vile comments, please, but I wonder if, when asked those two questions, as many people will still show up to donate blood (which is needed). But I guess, like the frog in hot water, we all just eventually play along!
Obviously the blood has to be clean, so questions have to be asked since they are opening the eligibility up to this community!

I have often spoken of the hypocrisy of the media! Here is the media refusing to comment on one of their own! Yet Maiki Sherman (who is the accused in this case) is the one who so often pushed microphones into the faces of people, demanding they answer her questions!

When the shoe is on the other foot, Maiki, where are you?

Not sure why the media think they are the watchdog (often the attack dog) of society!

As today, they continue to make the news with their liberal biases, no longer reporting the news — and in this case, no comment!

Another very sad story — but, like it or not, the point is:

This “boy racer” is convicted of manslaughter for the murder of an unborn child!

So the courts (and anyone with 1/2 a brain) recognise and acknowledge that it is a human being — an unborn child in every womb!

Let it be said loud and clear that making abortion legal does not negate the fact that a life is being taken.

As our National Anthem says in verse 4: “Preaching love and truth to man” — not only love, but also truth!

Let me ask:
When is a politician going to stand up, speak up, and do something about it?

Today Australia and New Zealand celebrate Anzac Da

Today Australia and New Zealand celebrate Anzac Day, remembering those who fought for our country in the two world wars and other conflicts!

We honor the many who died, the many more who were injured, all for our freedom!

All those who went were changed forever as they witnessed the terror of war. My dad, like many of my age, fought in World War 2. He married Mum and the “next day” was shipped out!

My Aunty Marg (with the coat on, in uniform) died in the war!

I thank God every day for the wonderful free country that I have grown up in. Can you imagine growing up in a country like North Korea, or under Sharia law, or under a communist, even socialist regime?

I do think that all the Kiwis and Aussies who went and served would be horrified at much of what is happening in our nations — all the woke nonsense! Most were “God-fearing” people, growing up in an era where there were manners, respect, and decency! I do trust that we not only honor them, but also return to and hold fast to the values and morals they held!

I am not saying they were perfect or were all Christians, but overall they had a respect and values that we as a society have lost, and if we have any chance of surviving, we need to find again.

Such a sad story, and my heart goes out to the fam

Such a sad story, and my heart goes out to the family and friends. It is extra hard when people die young, although it is true that we all die sooner or later!

The report below very sadly but accurately states that “her unborn daughter also did not survive”.

A point here on the hypocrisy/double standards of the media and a lot of the public: here they acknowledge the unborn life of a human being, a named daughter (and so they should), but when it comes to “women’s rights”/so-called “women’s healthcare”, they turn a blind eye to the human life in the womb in the convenience of abortion!

I certainly do not want to add any more grief to the family, so I would appreciate no inappropriate comments. But if one can’t see the hypocrisy of those who are anti “pro-life”, one has to be very blind, even deceived — for we all know, just as this article says, it is a precious human life, and it is heartbreaking that the mum and child did not make it 🙏❤️🙏

Another friend, Bob McCoskrie from Family First, does a great job at interviewing Steve Maile (for me — lol)!

But this is what is happening right now in England, a nation that, like NZ, was once a Christian nation! And as I have posted a number of times previously, unless we wake up — as pastors, as churches, as a society — it will happen here in NZ!

I know Steve would appreciate your prayers!

Steve was sent out by Ps Rob Wheeler and Kevin Dyson around 40 years ago (when I first met him) to go and travel with Reinhard Bonnke in Africa for over 2 years. He got so on fire for God that he has not stopped preaching on the streets over these past 40+ years!

God bless you, Steve, and shame on England for this arrest!

“Cracking day for it,” PM Luxon said while celebrating the Sri Lankan New Year this past Sunday.

I commented that Sunday is a cracking day to be in church.

Please read this before commenting: I understand the PM must represent all New Zealanders, but once again he is spending significant time with Hindu, Muslim, and Sikh communities while continuing to overlook what many see as his largest voting base — the 1.7 million Christians in NZ.

For clarity, I am not against immigration (I’m married to one — lol), but it is the scale of immigration that raises concerns. Infrastructure like roads, hospitals, and services are struggling to keep up.

In our church alone we have over 70 nationalities — wonderful people — and I value that diversity. But what holds us together is unity of spirit. That is the difference.

Across NZ and the West, there is a clear cultural and spiritual shift happening. Many newcomers are forming communities among themselves, and this is changing the makeup of society quickly.

It would have been powerful to see the PM attend one of the large churches and say, “Cracking day to be in church.”

His popularity is slipping, and looking ahead, the political landscape raises concerns for many.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about economics. “Righteousness exalts a nation.” A strong moral foundation matters.

We need unity, clarity of values, and strong leadership.

Praying for our nation and for wisdom in Wellington.

JFK all over again for sure. Joe Kent (a war hero), the now ex-Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, has said multiple times that Kash Patel, the director of the FBI, shut down further investigation into the assassination of Charlie Kirk when he wanted to follow more leads.

Even more interesting, Turning Point USA, instead of pushing for a full investigation, turned on Joe Kent. Many seem to want an open-and-shut case on Tyler Robinson.

It’s also concerning that someone immediately removed the camera behind Charlie at the scene — potential tampering. That footage suggested the bullet did not pass straight through his neck, as experts say it should have with that type of weapon.

We’ve been told conflicting things: first the FBI had the bullet, now only fragments. The gun had multiple prints, yet we hear it may not have been fired. Who knows what’s true?

All I’m saying is there seems to be more to this story. Too many inconsistencies. I hope the truth comes out.

History shows this pattern — JFK, Martin Luther King, and now this. Are we being told everything?

Look at the Epstein files — first “nothing to see”, then partial releases under pressure.

Wouldn’t it be good to trust those in authority?

But like the “weapons of mass destruction” in Iraq, it often feels like we’re only told what they want us to hear.

Meanwhile, Trump portrays himself (AI) as some messiah (he says a Red Cross doctor 😜) healing a sick person — don’t you just love the “soldier angels” in the background coming down!

So which is worse — one, a “spiritual person”, the so-called “head of the church”, ripping people off, or a secular president winding people up?

Both not good, but is one worse than the other — just asking!

I find this clip incredible! I’ve called out the Prime Minister before for dancing with Hare Krishnas, bowing in Hindu temples, and sending Ramadan greetings — while ignoring the 1.6 million Christians in NZ at Easter and Christmas over the last 3 years.

This was PM Luxon’s Easter message after public pressure. While acknowledging Easter, he never mentioned the name it’s all about — Jesus Christ. Yet in other greetings, specific religious references are clearly made.

Today is Vaisakhi (14th April), and while I respect people celebrating their cultures, the balance feels off. The government represents everyone, but this feels uneven.

New Zealanders need to wake up to how quickly culture is changing.

To those who celebrate “diversity” — diversity alone has never brought blessing to a nation, unity has.

So what are we? A Muslim country, Hindu country, or Christian country? We can’t be everything. “Choose this day whom you will serve… as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

It’s clear politicians are appealing for votes. Sadly, even some Christian MPs follow this path. Meanwhile, the largest voting group has been overlooked — notice I say “had”, not “have”.

With an election year coming, the choices feel limited. Many vote based on economics, but “righteousness exalts a nation.”

We need to get the moral foundation right.

Praying for our government and the upcoming election.

Unbelievable — several churches closed in Auckland

Unbelievable — several churches closed in Auckland yesterday, all because of a bit of rain. Probably the same churches that closed 4 years ago due to fear — “alerts”.

Church doors on “the Lord’s Day” should never close! (Our Canadian churches would be laughing — they have snow.)

I don’t think Jesus looked out the window on His crucifixion day and said, “I don’t like the look of the weather!”

People go to work, school, and events in the rain, yet stay home on Sunday!

It wasn’t even the government telling them to close — pastors/leaders chose to 😱🤣😂!

Even if the government tries to close the church, we obey the higher authority, just as Christians do in persecuted nations. Praise God we are not there, so pastors, keep the doors open — “do not forsake the assembling together.”

Sorry if this offends, but wake up, people! I strongly believe it was the wrong call to close churches. As Western Christians, we have become soft.

People in other nations walk miles barefoot to get to church, rain or shine — imagine arriving to a closed door!

Thousands of Christians have faced far more than rain and even died for Christ. That stirs my heart.

Sitting at home watching online when you’re able to attend doesn’t compare to gathering together — to fellowship, be encouraged, and equipped.

Over 43+ years of pastoring, I’ve heard many excuses. There may be plenty, but no good ones!

The Western church (which I’m part of) has apathy and complacency we must shake off. Today we need to be strong and bold.

Jesus is coming for those “who are alive and remain” — meaning passionately active.

My heart is to stir us, as some risk being “left behind”.

My heart breaks for those lacking passion, courage, and conviction because of convenience.

And I preach to myself as well!

But imagine being strapped into a rocket heading to the moon, and then returning to earth at 25,000 mph, with 5,000°F heat!

I agree with the captain — there are no atheists in a rocket!

“People will cry ‘Peace, peace,’ but there will be no peace!” This is one of the prophetic statements (both in Jeremiah and Ezekiel) about the last days, and you would do well to understand that we are living in them right now!

People can “mock” all they like, but they are just fulfilling another of the hundreds of prophecies regarding the return of Christ!

Both Jude and 2nd Peter tell of them!

2nd Peter 3 v 3: “Knowing this first, that in the last days mockers/scoffers shall come with their mockery, walking after their own lusts, saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming? For all things continue as they have.’”

You would be wise to call upon the Lord Jesus while you can 🙏!

“Leave no man behind” — this well-known statement upset the "woke crazy left" as he did not include women in his sentence. More crazier, though, is that they cannot (just like our own Chris Hipkins) even define what or who a woman is!

Not only that, but because President Trump did not “wipe out" Iran as he threatened to do in his Easter post “rant” (and praise God he didn’t), but instead opted for a two-week ceasefire, the idiotic "woke left" call him a “chicken”, saying that “he backed down”! You cannot please some people — they will just keep attacking Trump no matter what he does.

Some people are just beyond reason and beyond reason!

(By the way, how long the two-week ceasefire will last is yet to be seen.)

PS, and although I could not say amen to Pete Hegseth's prayer (see my previous post), I can say amen to “leave no man behind”.

Skeptical of the difference that a church can play in people’s lives? Watch this and weep!

Vave and Laurissa share two powerful testimonies of lives that looked completely different on the outside but were both marked by pain, brokenness, and a search for something more. One story is shaped by violence and addiction, while the other is driven by a deep need for approval and perfection. Both journeys reach a breaking point where encountering Jesus brings true freedom, healing, and a completely transformed life, proving that no one is ever too far gone when you give your life to “The Man in the Middle.” Please note: These testimonies include references to drug use, violence, and suicide, and may not be suitable for younger audiences. What an honour and a blessing to have a part in these two awesome people’s lives!
Their stories, along with thousands of others that I could share, are made possible not by “prison bars” or more money and success, but by the “man in the middle.”

I am well aware that some people get hurt in church (for where there are people, there are problems), and also the sad fact that people may be forgiven but are not perfect. Especially when a leader fails, people get hurt. For even Jesus said, “strike the shepherd and the sheep scatter.”

And while there may be some who speak ill of the church because of hurt, there are thousands who can testify to the blessings that come from belonging to a healthy church. So remember, if you have been hurt, join the queue, but there is healing in Christ Jesus. As of course, all glory to God, for if it was not for the man on the middle cross, Jesus, we would all still be lost in our sin.

Reported in the news.

What they did not say is that the reason the Christian numbers have gone down is because of the large number of good people that have left New Zealand. The Muslim and Hindu populations are climbing, not because people are converting to these religions, but because we are allowing these people to immigrate into NZ, who are sadly rapidly changing the culture of NZ!

Meanwhile, churches like @cityimpactchurch are continuing to flourish, filled to overflowing at Easter, as the clip shows!
